G20 Vs Street Dogs! Indian Activist Voices In Canada

Indian Activist Voices CanadaWhile India is busy preparing for the G20 Earth Summit, which will mark the reunion of Earth’s most influential figures coming together on common ground to protect Mother Earth, it has raised a few problems along the way. The Government of India is focused on ensuring its success by keeping the issues out of the limelight rather than actually solving them.

A recent news report has come from Canada, where an animal rights activist named Manvi Rai has raised her voice against the crimes committed by the municipalities of Delhi against stray animals, such as dogs and cows.

It comes as no surprise that there are thousands of stray animals roaming the streets. While we may find amusement in such things, as G20 approaches, these issues are being concealed. Delhi police and municipalities are forcibly removing these mute animals, subjecting some of them to merciless beatings. Unfortunately, many of these animals have died while being transported to shelters that are neither sanitized nor adequately ventilated. They are provided with insufficient food and are essentially left to die.

Manvi is protesting in Canada to address this same issue. She emphasizes that if we are discussing Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam on such a grand platform, we must also take care of these small, defenseless animals.
