Office Scandal: Female Married Boss Molests Male Staff?

Male employee harassment by female boss

Workplaces are expected to maintain professionalism and respect for everyone. Yet incidents continue to show that boundaries can be crossed, and not all employees feel equally protected.

A recent case from Mumbai’s Goregaon sparked wide discussion after a 29 year old male employee shared his experience on Reddit. He alleged that his female boss touched him inappropriately during work reviews.

He wrote that she would touch his thighs and arms and sit very close to him. He also mentioned that she is married and has children. His post raised concerns about workplace conduct and the limited support available for male employees.

Some users advised him to file a POSH complaint. Others urged caution because India’s present laws do not officially cover male victims under the POSH Act. This uncertainty leaves many men unsure about how to respond.

This incident highlights the larger issue of sexual harassment of men at work. Activists like Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj note that male victims often fall into a legal grey area with no clear pathway for help.

Greater awareness and gender neutral policies are needed so that every employee can feel safe and protected at work, regardless of gender.
