Kanika Mann has found herself on the receiving end of heavy social media backlash after a recent exchange with Qazi Touqeer turned into a heated argument inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.
The controversy began when Qazi asked Kanika, “Lollipop khaegi?” during a conversation. Kanika said she did not like the remark and claimed he had asked her the same question three times. When Qazi questioned what was wrong with it, Kanika told him, “It’s not nice,” and asked him not to speak to her that way.
Mahhi Vij also asked Qazi to apologise, while Aasif Khan asked Kanika to explain what had happened. Qazi, however, refused to apologise, insisting that the question was only a joke and had no double meaning. He argued that if his intentions were not wrong, the comment should not be interpreted negatively.
Qazi also said that he knows where he goes wrong and in this case, he wasn’t. The discussion later brought up another controversial remark allegedly involving Qazi and a “ganji gudiya” task. Love Gill linked the comment to Qazi’s earlier statement about having high testosterone levels, although part of her explanation was muted on the show.
Meanwhile, social media largely lashed out at Kanika heavily. Many accused her of giving Qazi’s comment a double meaning. Comments included, “You lost all respect today,” “Kanika played so dirty,” and accusations that she had a dirty mind and cheap mentality.
Salman Khan already asked the actress to reduce her tantrums inside the house in the last Weekend Ka Vaar. After that, a few sections of viewers liked Kanika as she was trying to be more conversational with everyone, while keeping in mind she doesn’t overdo it. However, her latest allegations against Qazi have made her receive more backlash than ever.
This also leaves us with a question: are things going so ugly and sexual inside the BB house? While the contestants are often seen making personal remarks or vulgar language during fights, this kind of a conversation makes things far worse than anticipated.
