A disturbing incident has been reported from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh. A 25 year old man named Hardik has been accused of killing his twin sister Himshikha and seriously injuring his mother during a violent argument inside their home.
According to police reports, both Hardik and Himshikha were working in Gurugram. They had returned to Moradabad to celebrate Holi with their mother. What was meant to be a family gathering reportedly turned into a tragic confrontation.
Investigators say Hardik had been in a relationship with a woman he met on Instagram. The relationship reportedly ended recently, which left him emotionally disturbed. Police believe the breakup may have contributed to his unstable mental state.
During an argument inside the house, Hardik allegedly attacked his twin sister Himshikha with a knife. Reports claim she was stabbed more than forty times during the assault. The shocking attack left the family and neighbours in deep shock.
When the mother attempted to intervene and stop the attack, she was also injured. She sustained serious wounds during the incident. Himshikha was rushed to the hospital but reportedly died on the way.
The injured mother is currently receiving treatment at a hospital. Police later arrested Hardik and began a detailed investigation into the case. Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the violent incident.
The tragedy has triggered conversations about emotional distress and violent reactions after relationship breakups. Many observers say heartbreak and frustration should never lead to such extreme actions.
The case has also raised concerns about anger management and mental health awareness. Experts often stress that emotional pain must be addressed through support and counselling rather than violence.
