A man from Mumbai recently proved how far a true food lover can go for taste and emotion. The 33 year old had travelled to Hyderabad and decided to take biryani worth nearly Rs 5,000 back home.
When he reached the airport, he discovered that his luggage had exceeded the permitted weight limit. The extra food increased the baggage weight significantly.
Because of the excess weight, the airline charged him an additional baggage fee of Rs 4,200. Despite the unexpected expense, the traveller said he had no regrets.
According to him, the joy of carrying food for loved ones mattered more than the money spent. He said the decision was driven by emotion rather than cost.
The man explained that his father is a huge fan of biryani but has never visited Hyderabad. Whenever he travels to the city, he brings the famous dish for him.
Over time, his friends also began waiting for the special treat whenever he returned from Hyderabad.
He added that he enjoys bringing local foods from different cities. According to him, authentic regional flavours are difficult to recreate elsewhere.
The story highlights how food can carry emotional value beyond its price. For many people, sharing favourite dishes with family and friends creates memories that matter more than money.
