According to the complaint, the woman spoke about marriage and gradually built a close relationship with him. The man claimed that he trusted her promises and the two eventually entered a physical relationship.

Later, Pankaj alleged that the woman began threatening him with a rape case. He said she and her father pressured him to pay money and warned that he could face legal trouble if he refused.

The complainant stated that he paid around Rs 42.87 lakh for bank loans and other expenses linked to the woman. After he stopped paying, they allegedly demanded an additional Rs 7 lakh.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation. Officials are examining bank records, phone messages and other evidence to verify the claims.

Cases like this also raise wider concerns about misuse of trust in online relationships. Legal experts say individuals who face threats or blackmail should approach the authorities immediately.

Remaining silent can sometimes allow fraudsters to continue their actions. Early legal intervention can help prevent further financial or emotional damage.

Such cases also highlight the importance of fair and balanced investigation. Authorities must carefully examine evidence and hear both sides before reaching conclusions.

Observers say justice should be based on facts rather than assumptions. A transparent investigation is essential to ensure that the guilty are held accountable.
