Woman Killed, ₹65 Lakh Looted as Husband Lay Helpless

A 70 year old woman was brutally murdered inside her house in Nelamangala near Bengaluru. Her throat was slit late at night while she was at home with her husband, who is mentally challenged and physically immobile. The incident has shocked the local community.

The most disturbing aspect is that her husband was lying beside her during the attack. Due to his condition, he was unable to understand or respond to what was happening. The crime went unnoticed for several hours inside the house.

Police said the accused allegedly entered the house during the night and attacked the woman with a knife. After killing her, he reportedly looted gold jewellery worth around Rs 65 lakh and escaped from the scene.

The crime came to light the next morning when a doctor arrived to provide physiotherapy to the husband. The woman was found lying in a pool of blood, and the police were immediately alerted.

Based on CCTV footage from nearby areas, police traced and arrested the suspect. Items linked to the crime have been seized. A murder case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to establish all details.
