Independence Day celebration holds a special place in our hearts. The nostalgia of school days hits us strongly on this day particularly. From parades to group dances on patriotic songs, all the memories rush in. But one memory common to most of us is of sweet and snacks distribution after the celebration. No matter what it used to be, everyone waited eagerly. But it seems like not everyone is happy about what they received on independence day. A photo is going viral on X, formerly Twitter, in which a girl is complaining about the snacks she got in her college hostel.
Apparently, she was served ‘bundia and sev’, a traditional dish that is distributed at many places on 15th August and 26th January. The girl who had it for the first time didn’t like it all.
But the comment section came in defending the snack because of the nostalgia attached with it. Some claimed that it is the best combination for a snack.
She is not the only one complaining about bad food on independence day. The students of the historical Birla Hostel in BHU were also disappointed with the food they were served on the occasion. The administration served ‘Chhole’ at the 102 year old hostel but it was difficult to figure out what it was without the reference.
