It is known that the Indian Cricket team announced the squad for the coming season of the T20 World Cup that is commencing on the 2nd of June. As the intensity builds up for the big event, here is a look at the alarming trend that is being seen in the IPL.
Firstly, the captain of the Indian side, Rohit Sharma’s horrific IPL run continues as he is struggling to get any runs. The only hope is Rohit’s tendency to do well in the ICC events. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, has been scoring runs at a stagnated rate. He is fine at playing the anchor roles but in high-scoring encounters, such batting performances could prove to be fatal.
New inclusions like Sanju Samson and Shivam Dubey have been failing since their inclusion in the Team India side. Dubey, in particular, has put on two golden ducks since he was announced as a member of he side. All his magical form evaporated quickly.
Vice-captain Hardika Pandya is performing poorly with both bat and ball. On top of that, his captaincy for Mumbai has been calamatic as the side is sitting at rock bottom on the table.
With all the main guns of the side putting on a horror show in the ongoing IPL, there is a lot of skepticism on team India’s prospects for the coming edition of the T20 World Cup.
