For the past few days, one question dominated Indian cricket is Rohit Sharma‘s ODI career coming to an end?
Reports claimed he was no longer part of India’s 2027 World Cup plans. Rohit answered the noise with a superb century and has now broken his silence on the speculation.
Rohit made it clear that he isn’t paying attention to outside talk and is focused only on performing for the team.
“My job is with the bat. I have to represent my country and contribute to the team’s success. The noise has been there since I made my debut. If there’s no noise, there’s no fun,” Rohit said.
Despite his brilliant 138, Rohit admitted he was disappointed after India lost the third ODI by 27 runs and the series 2-1.
He said India fought well but fell short in another big chase. Rohit also defended the young bowling attack, saying they need more time and experience in ODI cricket.
For now, Rohit’s message is clear his focus is on playing for India, not on the speculation surrounding his future.
