Yash Dayal is set to return to competitive cricket through the upcoming UPT20 League after being away from the game for more than a year.
The UPT20 governing council is planning to hold its mini auction in mid July. Agra and Noida are being considered as possible venues, while Lucknow will remain the backup option if arrangements are not completed in time.
Ahead of the auction, teams have started announcing their retained players.
UPCA officials have confirmed that Yash Dayal will be given an NOC to play domestic and league cricket. The association said all legal matters related to the pacer have been settled, clearing the way for his return to the field.
His comeback has divided fans on social media. Many believe the allegations that kept him out of IPL 2026 were serious.
