Initially, Vidaamuyarchi was announced for a Pongal release in its teaser. Following this announcement, several films adjusted their release dates accordingly. However, just a few days before Pongal, it was revealed that the movie’s release had been postponed.

Now, with the latest announcement of Vidaamuyarchi’s February 6th release, the pattern appears to be repeating. This unexpected decision has impacted the release schedules of two other films.

Dhanush’s directorial venture Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, initially slated for February 7th, has been pushed to February 21st. Similarly, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon, scheduled for February 13th, faces challenges with screen allotments due to the overlapping release.

Trade analysts have criticized Lyca Productions for their lack of coordination and planning, emphasizing that production houses handling big-budget films should announce release dates responsibly.
