Following the reported failure of Kara, Dhanush is currently working on a spy thriller tentatively titled D55. Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, the film is progressing at a brisk pace, and the makers are reportedly targeting an October release.
Apart from D55, Dhanush has a packed lineup of projects. His upcoming slate reportedly includes a commercial entertainer with Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, a historical drama with Mari Selvaraj, and the highly anticipated sequel Vada Chennai 2 with Vetrimaaran.
Amid these projects, fresh speculation has emerged regarding a possible collaboration between Dhanush and director Venkat Prabhu. According to industry buzz, Venkat Prabhu recently narrated a science-fiction story to the actor, and Dhanush is said to have responded positively to the idea.
Reports further suggest that the director has already started developing the screenplay. However, there has been no official confirmation from either Dhanush or Venkat Prabhu regarding the project.
Interestingly, industry discussions claim that the same story was initially intended for Sivakarthikeyan. Due to the lack of progress in the project, Venkat Prabhu is now reportedly considering moving forward with Dhanush instead.
