
Blockbuster Amaran Director Rajkumar Periasamy is set to collaborate with Dhanush for his next film, tentatively titled D55.
Following the success of his last movie, which was based on the real-life story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, Rajkumar Periasamy’s upcoming project is expected to be an investigative thriller inspired by a real-life incident. Dhanush will reportedly take on a completely new role for this film.

While these details are based on speculation and there has been no official confirmation, the filmmaker had previously shared that D55 would focus on unsung heroes—individuals who blend into society without seeking recognition.
He emphasized that the protagonist of the film would represent these unsung heroes.

The pooja ceremony for D55 took place in November 2024, with Dhanush sharing his excitement about working with Rajkumar Periasamy.
Aside from this, there are rumors that Rajkumar Periasamy is also preparing to make a move into Bollywood, having reportedly discussed several ideas with producer Bhushan Kumar.
