
Mohanlal’s highly anticipated film L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, was released in theatres on March 27 and is creating a rampage at the box office.
L2: Empuraan was produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and co-produced by Gokulam Gopalan’s Gokulam Cinemas.

Now, according to reports, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided Gokulam Gopalan’s office and personal properties in Chennai and Kochi for alleged violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
Following this, some social media users speculated that the raid was politically motivated, claiming it was an act of vengeance by certain political parties, as L2: Empuraan allegedly carries a strong voice against Hindus.

Recently, under pressure from political groups, the L2: Empuraan team trimmed around two minutes from the original film and muted certain dialogues.
This ED raid against Gokulam Gopalan, coming amidst controversy, has raised doubts among the public. However, there are no official updates regarding further investigations, and it remains to be seen what happens next.
