Director Sukumar, after the pan-Indian success of Pushpa 2, has now started the pre-production work for his next film with Ram Charan, tentatively titled RC 17.
Recently, Sukumar participated in an interview where the anchor asked him if he was interested in making a ₹1000 crore movie in Tamil and which Tamil hero he would direct it with.
To this, Sukumar responded that he is interested in working with Tamil actors like Vijay, Ajith, and Karthi. This video has now gone viral.
Following this, social media users pointed out that Vijay is now shifting to full-time politics, and Ajith usually doesn’t work with directors from other industries, so a collaboration between Karthi and Sukumar seems more likely in the future.
If this collaboration happens, it will be a lottery for Karthi. However, after the success of Pushpa 2, Sukumar will most likely work with big-league actors.
Earlier buzz suggested that he had already narrated a story to Shah Rukh Khan, so a Karthi-Sukumar collaboration seems practically impossible for now, as Karthi is not a big pan-Indian star.
At the same time, Karthi’s upcoming projects look promising, and Kaithi 2 has huge expectations among audiences.
If his upcoming movies, including Kaithi 2, become pan-Indian successes, then a collaboration with Sukumar could become a possibility.
However, it looks like Sukumar is genuinely interested in working with Karthi. It remains to be seen whether this collaboration will happen in the future.
