Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, is one of the most anticipated biggies in Kollywood, this movie was produced by Lyca Productions, and the team has officially announced in the teaser that this movie is going to be released for this Pongal 2025.
Initially, there was a strong buzz that this movie was a remake of the Hollywood movie Breakdown, but then there weren’t any talks about this.

But a few days ago the teaser of this movie was released, and many people on social media commented and responded that it looks similar to the Hollywood movie Breakdown.
In this scenario, as per industry buzz, the Vidaamuyarchi movie is a remake of the Breakdown movie, but the team hasn’t acquired the rights, it seems, and after the teaser, the distribution house of Breakdown, which is Paramount Pictures, has sent a notice to Lyca Productions demanding $15 million, which is about 150 crores in Indian rupees.

Also, if the buzz is true, then it’s going to be a tougher one for Lyca Productions to tackle this, and maybe even the release of Vidaamuyarchi may get delayed, says the experts.
