Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, directed by Shankar, was released last year on 12th July and ended up as a terrible disaster.
Initially, Indian 2 was planned as a single-part movie, but due to its long duration, the team decided to release the movie in two parts, and Part 2’s first part, which is Indian 2, was released with a trailer for Part 3 in the end.

Still, Indian Part 3 was not yet released, as some portions of the movie remained to be filmed. Earlier buzz suggested that Shankar is planning to start shooting the pending sequence for Part 3 shortly, and Red Giant Pictures is going to produce it.
But now there is a strong buzz that, Indian 3 will never be released, as Netflix is not interested in backing Part 3 and Lyca is going out of the business and is planning to quit Indian 3.

Netflix has signed Indian 2 and Indian 3’s OTT deal, but due to the terrible disaster of Indian 2, Netflix has now left Indian 3.
After this buzz, social media users were responding that it was better to not release the Indian 3, as Indian 2 was a big heartbreak for the Tamil audiences, and it also crushed the legacy of the OG Indian movie.

However, still, there weren’t any official updates on this, and it remains to be seen whether Indian 3 is going to be shelved, and remain as an unfinished project, or else the movie will be resumed with the help of another production house.
