Annamalai questioned how Vijay could comment on a party like the BJP and what he knows about people’s difficulties. He claimed that Vijay is merely doing politics from his cinema shoots while singing songs and pinching the hips of actresses. In this context, Annamalai questioned Vijay’s right to criticize the BJP.

He further stated that by closely observing Vijay’s actions, it’s clear that Vijay is the DMK’s “B team” and part of DMK’s master plan to return to power.
Annamalai also criticized Vijay for portraying characters who smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol in his movies, questioning what right he has to speak about closing TASMAC. He also pointed out Vijay’s role in the film Master as an example.

Meanwhile, some social media users commented that politics is a filthy profession, where even prominent leaders face such remarks. They added that if Vijay wants to survive in politics, he must endure this criticism and respond with a logical counter in his speeches.
