What’s Happening To Most Loved Star? - Suriya

It is an open fact that Tamil star Suriya is one of the most loved personalities in the Telugu states. There were times when his films performed better in Telugu than in Tamil.

While he obviously receives a lot of love and admiration from the Telugu audience, there has been growing demand on Suriya to come up with some positive theatrical stuff.

The last time Suriya had something good to offer was back when he released Jai Bhim and Aakashame Haddura. But incidentally, both these films skipped the theatrical release and arrived directly on OTT.

Subsequently, the theatrical rejuvenation that Suriya needed went for a toss with the OTT debut of these two films. After that, he had mostly been associated with mediocre and poor stuff.

Films like Etharkkum Thunindhavan and Kanguva are agonisingly poor. He had this brief reprieve in the form of Vikram. But again, this Rolex cameo also turned out to be a very brief one and it couldn’t be credited in the account of Suriya.

The thing about Suriya is that he is humble, loved, talented and all. But he is seriously lacking in the form of script judgement, and selection. It has become more of a point where he is getting trolled for handpicking bad scripts. His latest film Retro is no different.

But the one good thing that is on the horizon here is that Suriya is going to work with Venky Atluri for his next film. This film is going to be the immediate next project of Suriya and there’s a lot riding on it. Hopefully, this is going to be the comeback film for the extremely talented Tamil actor.
