Turkish Airlines, known for its extensive global reach, is now facing scrutiny for all the wrong reasons. One passenger on a flight from Johannesburg to Istanbul spotted a bug on her seat, which was removed but deemed harmless by the crew. On another flight to San Francisco, bed bugs were so apparent that passengers opted to change seats or even sit in crew jump seats to escape the infestation.

The presence of bed bugs on this airline has made other flights anxious – not only due to hygiene issues but also because of the potential impact on airline reputations.
