The United Kingdom (UK) is one of the top destinations for Indians who look forward to finding opportunities outside India. With such a huge number of Indians living in the UK, it is not a surprise that they share a big number of total babies born every year.
In a recent demographic data shared, the percentage of babies born to non-UK-born parents has gone up to 23.1%. In 2008, it was 16.7%. At the same time, babies born to both UK parents have gone down from 62% to 60.3%.
Indians are getting a third of total residence visas, exhibiting their importance to the UK.
As per reports, Indian workers make up 43% of the skilled workers in the UK. TATA Group, the Indian MNC, is one of the largest employers in the UK. Apart from that, a big number of Indians are practising medicine in the country providing the necessary healthcare support among several more fields.
