A 28-year-old Indian student from Andhra Pradesh lost his life in a tragic skydiving accident in the United States. The deceased has been identified as Gaddam Manichandra Teja, a native of Vijayawada.
According to family members, Manichandra Teja completed his engineering at ICFAI University, Hyderabad, before moving to the US in 2022 for higher studies. After completing his course at Northeastern University, he secured a job with a company in Boston.
The accident took place on July 12 near Jumptown in Orange, Massachusetts, where he had gone for a skydiving session. Reports say Manichandra Teja completed the jump successfully, but while descending, strong winds affected his parachute. He reportedly fell from a height of around 30 feet while attempting to land. Local residents and his friends rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Massachusetts Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
The tragic death has left his family and friends in deep shock. Manichandra Teja had gone to the US with dreams of building a successful career, but his life ended in a heartbreaking accident.
The incident is another painful reminder of the tragedies that have recently claimed the lives of several young Indians living and studying abroad.
