After the recent arrest of Dr Rao for sharing anti Palestine posts on his social media accounts, a nurse of Indian origin has also made it into the news for a similar incident. With the world torn into two after the recent tensions between Zionist state of Israel and Palestine, it is the common folk who have suffered the most, with yet another case making it to the surface.
The incident came to light after Kuwaiti lawyer, Ali Habab Al-Duwaikh filed a complaint before the public prosecution against the nurse for her action of putting up a WhatsApp status in which she had displayed the Israeli flag, according to him, a clear support of the Zionist state who has rained misery on its Islamic neighbor. Duwaikh said that this act is supporting the Israeli actions of killing the children of Palestine and bombing the Al-Baptist Hospital. These actions are in strict violation of the laws of Kuwait.
In his complaint, Ali Habib cited the strong stance of Kuwait’s government and its people in the support of Palestine, especially since the bombing of the Al-Baptist hospital. Pointing out the Healt minister’s call for nurses and doctors to come and protest the Zionist entity, despite which the “nurse at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital boldly displayed the flag of the Zionist entity in her WhatsApp status, thereby endorsing the criminal act that occurred.”
Furthermore, Ali called upon his Muslim brothers to unite for the common cause of Palestine and combat Israel and its supporters in accordance with domestic and international news. It is moments like these that make us sympathize for humanity, moments where humans want humans tortured for simply putting up a WhatsApp status, making us reflect on how beautiful the privileges as common as our Freedom of Speech are and why we should never take them for granted.
