The national spirit will not be limited to Indian soil alone, as multiple countries are not only recognizing Indian Independence Day, but some are also opting to celebrate it. And now, one US state is officially recognizing Indian Independence Day as an event of celebration.
The Governor of Massachusetts, Maura Healey, has recently put out an official statement. In that statement, she talked about India’s greatness as a nation. She also added how India contributes to the global population and development.
After she finished her praise towards India, Maura proclaims that August 15th, 2023, should be known and appreciated as India Day. From Washington to Beijing, the globe was covered in the tricolor, and Massachusetts registers its name in the long list of places that are influenced by India.
The US, on a global stage, hosts the most Indians, around 4.4 million, and that can be a major reason for this step. Also, when it comes to Indian politics, some Indian-origin names become crucial figures.
