Bigg Boss 19 has turned out to be one of the weakest seasons in the show’s history. With falling TRPs and a decline in buzz, Salman Khan has reportedly reduced his fee from 250 crore rupees to 150 crore rupees this season.
The show’s reputation has taken a hit because of excessive drama, vulgarity, and abusive politics inside the house. Many viewers feel it is no longer family-friendly, and a large portion of its audience has shifted towards OTT platforms instead.
Even Salman’s weekend episodes have failed to generate the usual hype. Sources suggest the makers asked him to cut down his fee due to low ratings, and he agreed. Despite his emotional bond with the show, Salman has announced that this will be his final season.
Reports also hint that Karan Johar might take over as the host for future seasons. With Bigg Boss losing its charm, Salman may now focus on reviving his struggling box office career while moving away from the reality television format.
