Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made a scorching hot comeback with Pathaan and he followed it up with an even bigger blockbuster, Jawan.
Jawan is the highest grossing Hindi film of all time globally and it recently set the record of becoming the first ever Hindi film to cross the Rs 1100 crore global gross.
Coming to the point, the actioner, featuring SRK, Deepika Padukone and Nayanthara in the lead roles is heading for its OTT debut on Netflix.
The film will be made available for streaming on the Netflix from the 2nd of November. This is a delayed OTT release but this has become a norm for Hindi films of late.
The multiplex chains in Northern India are screening films only if they come with a written 8-weeks OTT release agreement. Meaning, a theatrical release should arrive on OTT at least 8 weeks post the theatrical release date.
Now, Jawan is following the same procedure and it is to arrive on Netflix 8 weeks post its theatrical debut. Can this box office monster fare equally well on OTT? We shall see.
