Creators Reveal That The Boys Will Go Far From 5 Seasons

The Boys 5 Seasons

In terms of the superhero vs supervillain genre, The Boys broke the chain of monotony, brought some spice to it, and amidst that, observed a ginormous rise. And now its spinoff series, Gen V, is creating a great buzz, and The Boys Universe is setting up, slowly but surely.

Now, there is a saying that there is one common thing about every journey and that is, it has to end. So before you dampen your eyes, listen to what Eric Kripke has to say.

Eric Kripke, creator of ‘The Boys,’ admits he’s learned not to predict a show’s lifespan. He praises the seamless plot transitions in the franchise, avoiding the pitfalls of overly long miniseries. Kripke’s extensive TV background, including the 15-season run of ‘Supernatural,’ contributes to the expertly crafted feel. ‘The Boys’ typically consists of concise eight-episode seasons on Prime Video.

Kripke, overseeing Gen V, confesses he’s no expert when it comes to a show’s lifespan. Despite leaving Supernatural after season 5, it marched on for 10 more. Now, with Gen V’s swift victory, Kripke’s rethinking his initial five-year blueprint for The Boys. The future’s looking unpredictable!

Now, on paper, it looks like a tough job when it comes to making The Boys such a long season. Also, the Gen V factor will contribute a lot in terms of progressing the storyline, so the main series won’t be as long as Supernatural, but if it can go on with a similar quality, nobody will mind a long series.
