GOT Universe Has Three More Animated Series

Game Of Thrones Dubbing JionCinema

In the history of television, Game of Thrones (GOT) is undeniably one of the most prominent series that has ruled over the linear cable as well as the OTT sphere. Now, its branches (sequels) are taking over OTT, with House of The Dragon becoming one of the most beloved series during the past year.

But the world of GOT isn’t stopping its expansion.

Previously, George R.R. Martin confirmed his association with several GOT spin-offs, and now, some exciting news has surfaced about future ventures.

George R.R. Martin has announced three animated projects in the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ universe. ‘Nine Voyages,’ initially planned as a live-action series, will now be animated due to high production costs.

Another spinoff explores Aegon Targaryen’s conquest, while a sequel focused on Kit Harington’s Jon Snow character is also reportedly in development.

While several ‘Game of Thrones’ projects, including an animated series and spinoffs, are in development, not all are officially approved.

HBO has ordered ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight,’ but the fate of other projects is uncertain. ‘House of the Dragon,’ based on Martin’s ‘Fire & Blood,’ is the first prequel, with Season 2 anticipated in mid-2024.
