An outdoor installation featuring inmates behind bars also attracted significant attention online. Netflix has now officially announced the release date through its Instagram account and confirmed that the show will stream from Saturday to Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms continue to be associated with the reality series, maintaining continuity from the first season. However, Kangana Ranaut’s name has not been mentioned in the promotional material released so far.
This absence has triggered discussions among viewers on social media. Some believe it could be a strategic marketing move designed to keep audiences curious about who will host the show this season.
The first season featured several contestants who had previously appeared on popular reality shows and had established television careers. The programme reportedly enjoyed strong viewership and generated considerable online engagement during its initial run.
Audience reactions to the second season have been mixed. While some viewers are excited about the show’s return, others have questioned whether they would subscribe to Netflix for a reality format when Bigg Boss is available annually on Colors without additional streaming costs.
