The Malayalam movie ‘Officer On Duty’ is now streaming on OTT. It came out on Netflix on the 20th of March. But audiences are not exactly happy with the way it has been dubbed.
Viewers say that the Telugu voices have been changed on OTT and the new dubbing is not very good. The movie had a theatrical release in Telugu as well and the dubbing was satisfactory then. But Netflix seems to have changed the voices.

When a movie is being released for an audience with a wide range of language-speakers, it is the responsibility of the platform to ensure that the dubbing is good and people will like it.
Very rarely does it happen that the dubbing was already good at the time of the theatrical release but for some reason the platform made it worse.

@GokulamMovies @NetflixIndia why dubbing is changed on ott. I have watched on theatre with brilliant dubbing and worst dubbing on Netflix #OfficersOnDuty #telugu #telugumovie pic.twitter.com/ipqXzg2ZA4

The user has even shared video examples from both versions to mark the differences. Netflix should not try to take this much control of the content and alter it in any way they like. Small mistakes like these can add up and prove to be big burdens for the platform in future.
