The drama of Bigg Boss 19 seems to have moved from television to Salman Khan’s real life. The actor recently faced social media backlash after calling out contestant Ashnoor Kaur for her attitude on the show.
In a viral clip shared by Bigg Boss’ official handle, Salman asks contestants how they see the figure of Bigg Boss if he were part of their family. Most said he represents a father-like figure.
Salman then turned to Ashnoor, asking if she had someone like that in her life and whether she would speak to them the same way she talks to Bigg Boss. He also scolded her for being dismissive and “ordering” Bigg Boss around without understanding what others in the house were going through.
The video quickly spread online, but the criticism wasn’t aimed at Ashnoor it was directed at Salman. One user wrote that they’re tired of him, saying he’s no longer effective either as an actor or as a host after nearly 15 years on the show.
While many viewers defended Salman, saying he’s always been strict with contestants, others accused him of playing favourites and targeting only those who are easy to confront.
His public appeal has already been slipping, and these comments only highlight that decline. Even long-time fans now feel that Salman is struggling to stay relevant.
Despite his long-standing popularity and the show’s strong following, the growing backlash suggests a shift. If Salman doesn’t adapt his approach to modern audiences, he risks losing the very viewers who have supported him for decades.
