720p Backlash: Fans Call Out for Poor OTT Service

Sony Liv UEFA Champions League streaming issue

Sony Liv is facing backlash as fans complain about poor streaming quality of the UEFA Champions League. With the tournament setting the stage for another exciting season, users are unhappy about the platform’s limited 720p streaming.

Several users voiced their frustration on social media. They claimed that even with the ad-free subscription plan, which promises the best video quality, the UEFA Champions League stream is capped at 720p.

One user shared his disappointment, stating that he purchased the highest subscription on Sony Liv to watch the matches on his LG TV, but still got only 720p. He further mentioned that he subscribed solely for the Champions League but felt cheated.

Screenshots shared online also revealed poor responses from Sony Liv’s technical support. The user claimed that customer care delayed replies and gave generic acknowledgements instead of resolving the issue.

Many others reported the same issue, particularly while watching on smart TVs. Some fans pointed out that this problem did not occur during the last season of the tournament.

As the UEFA Champions League resumes next week with fresh fixtures, fans are eager to see if Sony Liv improves the streaming quality or if the frustration will continue.
