Amazon Prime has yet again made the headlines, this time for bringing us back our favorite childhood show, “Takeshi’s Castle”. Amazon dropped the teaser on Wednesday afternoon, revealing famous youtuber Bhuvan Bam as the commentator in his beloved role of ‘Titu Mama’.
In Prime Video’s new teaser for the awaited release, we see Bhuvan doing his job in a shoe store and being involved in hilarious banter. It is then when the Yakuza make an entry, abducting BB and asking him to repay the dub he had incurred by dubbing the show in Hindi. Titu, at the mercy of Yakuza starts his voiceover bringing back the key essence of the show which all of us had loved once in our lives and the trailer cutting into the starting visuals for the show with the screen displaying ‘Takeshi’s Castle’ and the teaser coming to an end.
Fans are excited to see Bhuvan in this role, especially given that he must fill in the massive shoes of Javed Jaffri, the voice which was the key factor behind making the show a success. One user commented, “It’s really hard to imagine anyone else dubbing Takeshi’s castle… But I am really excited for Titu mama’s dubbing” while another expressed his glee of the show making its return by saying that it is like a dream come true for him.
Takeshi’s castle will be a part of the OTT platform’s lineup for the Great Indian Festival. It is a Japanese gameshow that features a bunch of random contestants competing in challenging tasks to make it into the final army who’ll be storming count Takeshi’s castle in an attempt to defeat the lord and win the prize money. Bhuvan Bam, in a recent interview shared that he hopes the younger generation will love the show as much as we did and that he himself has been a big fan.
