Nobody wants to see him go but it’s inevitable. It is the farewell of Henry Cavill and he doesn’t let us down in this installment of the show. The fantasy show in the medieval period with a warrior slaying monsters, this has ‘hit’ written all over it and the third season isn’t an exception.
After an 18 months wait, the third installment dropped on Netflix and it looks promising. This season carries forward with the father figure-type role of Cavill that he started to build in the second half of last season.
Also in this season, the series experiments with various new locations and landscapes, a necessary change for the series. Also, this season it was less about the storyline and more about watching Cavill, as a viewer, both of the categories will not let you down.
This show, unlike most Netflix shows, faces a pacing problem but it doesn’t take away anything from the show itself. Season 3 also doesn’t focus on the majestic grandeur but brings what is necessary, under the limelight. This focuses on the three main figures of the show- Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer.
Volume 1 also builds a base for the new big villain, which leaves a good taste. The series also brings the blood, betrayal, and all the sexual tension that the franchise needs. This season is good, but it has the potential to be even better, and for that, we will have to tune into the second volume.
Now, it will be a dumb thing to recommend someone the third season of a particular series but it is worth watching. If you are someone who didn’t tune into the first two seasons, this is your time to tune into the world of The Witcher.
