While awards aren’t the sole parameters for determining the quality of a show, they do vouch for it, much like a Michelin star brings trust to a product. This time, two of the most beloved Indian series have secured nominations.
Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh earned Emmy Award nominations in 2023 for their outstanding performances in ‘Delhi Crime Season 2’ and ‘Rocket Boys Season 2,’ respectively. They’ve been recognized in the “Best Actor/Actress in a Leading Role” category.
They join a long list of Indians associated with the award, including stars like Radhika Apte and Arjun Mathur.
Some Indians have also managed to capture the award, such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who won it for a British series. Shefali Shah was also present at the ceremony when ‘Delhi Crime’ won the award for “Best Drama Series” in 2020.
The first installment of the Delhi Crime series was indeed an enjoyable watch, based on true events. The second season doesn’t disappoint, as Shefali Shah takes us on a journey through crime investigation.
The second season of Rocket Boys is also a compelling watch, narrating India’s history in space exploration. In the series, Jim Sarbh portrays the role of Dr. Homi Bhava.
