Housefull 5 is one of the most highly anticipated films of this year, and it is arriving in theatres next month. While the teaser was removed last week from YouTube due to copyright issues, it is back now on the video streaming platform.
An insider opened up on what exactly happened, saying that the viewers witnessed a message while playing the teaser last week, which reads that there was a copyright claim by Mofusion Studios over the use of the song Laal Pari.
Sajid Nadiadwala immediately got in touch with YouTube, informing them that Yo Yo Honey Singh had already provided a writing declaration that he holds the rights to the song. YouTube additionally received a notice, stating that they must restore the teaser on the platform.
The insider mentioned that Yo Yo Honey Singh’s notice is the only thing that saved the teaser, and it is now available to stream again from May 20, 2025.
Housefull 5 has a huge star cast, and it is hitting the screens on June 6, 2025. Made on a budget of almost Rs. 375 crores, expectations are sky-high, considering the popularity of the comedy franchise.
Although the two songs released so far have not become big chartbusters, the teaser has managed to create some hype. With only two weeks left for release, the trailer is not out yet, and the makers have hardly focused on the promotions.
Moreover, Akshay Kumar, who plays the lead in the film, is already trending after he sued Paresh Rawal for quitting Hera Pheri 3.
