Veteran producer Boney Kapoor, who released Maidaan in 2024 after a long delay, is now gearing up for a fresh lineup of big projects.
In a recent interview with Komal Nahta, Kapoor revealed that he has six films in the pipeline. These include two Tamil films and four in Hindi, showing his plans to expand across industries.
Among the upcoming films is No Entry Mein Entry, the long-awaited sequel to his 2005 hit No Entry. Kapoor confirmed it will go on floors later this year.
He also shared that he’s working on projects with his daughters, Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor. There’s also a possible new collaboration with Shraddha Kapoor in the works.
During the conversation, Boney Kapoor described himself as a risk-taker, especially when it comes to remake rights. He revealed spending ₹30–35 crores over the years just on acquiring remake rights.
“The most expensive was Comali in 2019. I paid ₹3.5 crores for its rights. The film hasn’t been made yet. I’ve now handed the Hindi rights to Luv Ranjan while keeping the all-India rights,” he said.
One of the highlights of the interview was Kapoor’s emphasis on family involvement in his productions. He said his children must feel creatively involved and never forced to act in his films.
He even recalled convincing his brother Anil Kapoor to do films like Judaai and Bewafaa, focusing on creative chemistry over pressure.
Earlier this year, Boney Kapoor had also expressed his desire to branch out into regional cinema. He aims to make films in Punjabi, Kannada, and Bhojpuri languages in the near future.
