Dipika Kakar has boldly shared her diagnosis of Stage 2 liver cancer and the TV industry and fans are pouring in with support. Known for her roles in Sasural Simar Ka and her recent appearance on Celebrity MasterChef, Dipika shared her journey on Instagram.
She said a visit to the hospital for stomach pain led to the shocking discovery of a tennis ball sized tumour in her liver which was later confirmed to be malignant.
In her note she thanked her family and fans for their unwavering support and said she will fight the disease with positivity and strength.
Her husband Shoaib Ibrahim had earlier updated the media about her health and now Dipika’s own post has brought in even more love and prayers her way.
The TV industry has sent in lovely messages with co-stars like Avika Gor, Jayati Bhatia and Rajiv Adatia among many others wishing her speedy recovery and praising her for being brave.
Dipika who had welcomed her son Ruhaan in 2023 has inspired many with her strength and positivity. As she begins this journey Dipika’s fans and colleagues are sending in their best wishes hoping for her quick recovery and return to the screen.
