The teaser of Mission Mangal is out. It stars Akshay Kumar in an extended supporting role and features a host of the female cast comprising of famous names like Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sonakshi Sinha and Kriti Kulhari.
The teaser is cut perfectly to the countdown signifying not only the launch but also the arrival of the movie. The cast, as mentioned at the start, is fantastic. All the female leads have a terrific presence and are likely to stand out provided well-written characters are given to them.
Mission Mangal is based on a true story of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) that made the entire country proud. It seems like an ideal outing for the Independence Day ticking all the right boxes. Remember, the movie clashes with Saaho and another action flick Batla House.
The subject and presence of male and female start power should give Mission Mangal an edge at the multiplexes initially. The rest depends on how well the director Jagan Shakthi has executed the project.
