Soham Shah, the director of the 2009 film Luck, has filed a lawsuit accusing the creators of Squid Game of plagiarism.

Soham Shah alleges that the hit series borrowed its concept from his film without proper acknowledgment.

Luck, featuring Imran Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Shruti Hassan, revolves around a similar high-stakes game concept that bears a striking resemblance to the challenges depicted in Squid Game. Luck was a disaster at the box office.

Netflix has defended itself, stating that Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator of Squid Game, is the sole visionary behind the show. Despite this, Soham Shah insists that his film’s idea predates Squid Games by several years and is preparing for a legal battle to prove his point.
