Sikandar Release Date

According to an exclusive report by Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan’s Sikandar is set to release on Sunday, March 30, 2025. The makers opted for this unconventional release date to take advantage of multiple holidays.

March 30 is Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra, followed by Ramzan Eid on March 31. The post-Eid holiday effect is expected to boost collections through April 2, with another spike anticipated from Friday, April 4, ensuring strong box office performance until April 6.

Interestingly, Salman’s last film Tiger 3 also released on a Sunday but failed to sustain momentum despite opening with 40 crores on Diwali holiday. In an attempt to match Pathaan (55 crores) and Jawan (65 crores) on day one, Salman sacrificed two strong days, Friday and Saturday, which ultimately backfired.

This time, Sikandar seems to be following a similar path. Had it been released on March 28 (Friday), the film’s current buzz suggests it might have struggled to cross 25 crores on its opening day. So, to get an opening of 35-40 crores, Salman and the makers of Sikandar have chosen Sunday.

The trailer launch and advance booking are expected around March 21 or 22, with a grand promotional event planned to build hype. The film, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi.
