His body was discovered after a neighbour requested a wellness check. Music had been playing continuously from his Lower East Side apartment for more than a day. When there was no response, authorities entered and found him unresponsive.

Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Peter Greene built a strong career portraying tough and unsettling characters. His performances often left a lasting impression, making him a recognisable face in Hollywood across several decades.

He gained major recognition in 1994 for playing Zed in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. He also appeared as crime boss Dorian Tyrell in The Mask opposite Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz, adding to his cult following.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Greene appeared in nearly 100 films and television shows. His work included The Usual Suspects, Training Day, Blue Streak, and episodes of Hawaii Five-O and Chicago P.D.
