Anil Ravipudi has been the dark horse of the Telugu Film Industry who rose to stardom with just five films. We said, he has been a dark horse for a reason. His debut movie ‘Pataas’ with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram that turned out to be a successful movie, in fact, a blockbuster among Kalyan Ram’s movies.
But, when the movie was first screened for a television channel creative head and his people before the film’s release, the channel people said to Kalyan Ram that it was a crap movie with no elevations and heroism.
They were worried and then, decided to screen the same movie to Dil Raju who prophesied that it would be one of the biggest hits for Kalyan Ram in his career. That turned out to be true.
After narrating this incident in Tharun Bhascker‘s ‘Neeku Maatrame Cheptha’ chat show, Anil Ravipudi gave back to the channel head (he didn’t reveal the name of the channel and its creative head) like this assuming that the person was sitting in front of Anil.
“Are you a creative head? Do you know the meaning of creativity? Do you have a head actually? Is money more important to you than someone’s life and career?” Well, one can understand his frustration.
Anil also revealed another incident when he was a writer for ‘Shankam’ movie when two actors made fun of him saying, “Everyone assumes himself to be a writer and come with crappy dialogues like this.”
It’s a normal thing everywhere in life that one has to undergo a lot of insults and hurdles before success knocks on the door. What say?
