Megastar Chiranjeevi’s recent film Bhola Shankar turned out to be an unmitigated disaster at the box office, as predicted. What caught everyone off guard was it performed even worse than Acharya, which was shocking.
Mega fans felt deeply disheartened by Bhola Shankar’s result. To add salt to their wounds, they faced extreme trolling from anti-fans.
When fans find themselves in such situations, they tend to get more affected by these social media trolls than the actual movie result. A similar scenario happened after Bholaa Shankar, leaving mega fans eager for redemption.
And they found their new target in Balakrishna.
Usually, mega fans don’t pay much attention to Balakrishna’s events. However, a few fans formed a group that keenly observed Balakrishna’s recent Skanda event.
They meticulously edited certain clips to cast Balakrishna in a negative light, even going so far as to manipulate context. For example, they highlighted a moment when Sreeleela stopped laughing while Balakrishna spoke.
Also, Ram Pothineni, while answering a question asked by anchor Suma, mentioned that he cannot speak about screen presence when a Star like Balakrishna is standing beside him. Mega fans are editing that bit with Balakrishna’s serious expressions and trolling Balayya.
Ironically, Balakrishna and Srileela had grown quite close during the Bhagavanth Kesari shoot. Sreeleela even attended the NTR centenary celebrations and a cancer hospital event for Balakrishna. Despite the camaraderie, these selectively edited videos have flooded social media to create negativity against Balayya.
Now, they have set their eyes on Bhagavanth Kesari. They have planned to scrutinize every detail, right from the song to be released on September 1, the film’s trailer, the pre-release event, and finally, the film.
To counter these efforts, director Anil Ravipudi must provide kickass content that overshadows the negative narratives, allowing the film to speak for itself.
