One of the biggest films in the history of Indian cinema, Dhurandhar 2 is releasing in theatres today. The first part had released already and it was sensational blockbuster, and the second part is releasing tomorrow March 19, and the paid premieres have commenced already.
But there is this one crucial observation on this film, and it has something to do with the crazy work ethic, followed by the director of the film, Aditya Dhar.
Considering the fact that the first part released in December who is less than three months before. And now the second part is releasing on March 19. It would have been virtually impossible for him to shoot too much footage in the meanwhile.
What this essentially means that Aditya had almost shockingly shot as much as seven hours footage for the first and second parts of the film, even before the release of the first part. This is not something an Indian film would usually and particularly so when the first part itself had a lowkey release.
It must have been an absolute staggering job from Aditya and the production team to shoot so much footage and prepare two films for release in a span of three months.
The fundamental point here is that Aditya is an extremely committed and technically gifted film maker which reflects in his work. So the conviction to shoot so much footage with such authority on storytelling is a work of art.
Subsequently, the first part has already collected over Rs 1000 crore and now, the second part might even go near the Rs 2000 crore mark.
