Abuse & Vulgarity in Public: ‘I Regret Not Walking Out’

JD Chakravarthy reacts to vulgar song

In today’s society, many people seem to have developed an unfortunate fascination with negative publicity. Whether in politics or cinema, some believe that using abusive language or creating controversies brings instant attention and wide publicity.

In the race for recognition, negative publicity has started working like an addiction. Instead of gaining respect through meaningful work, some individuals now try to become famous overnight by using vulgar language or making offensive statements. The belief that the more shocking the words are, the more views and trends they generate has pushed a few people to publicly destroy their own dignity.

Recently, television actor Prabhakar’s son Chandrahass created controversy by writing and publicly reciting an obscene song as part of his movie promotions. This incident shocked many people both on and off social media. Chandrahass is facing heavy trolling for his actions. The incident took place during promotions for his film Barabar Premistha, where he sang a song filled with vulgar words on stage.

Actor JD Chakravarthy responded strongly to this issue who was present at the event. He stated that he regretted not walking out immediately. He strongly underlined that promotions should never insult women or cross the boundaries of decency. He shared his opinion through a video message. He said he was shocked while listening to the obscene song.

Believing that abuse, trolling, and negative comments equal publicity is a deeply disturbing mindset. Such behavior harms the dignity of genuine artists who work hard for recognition.

Some people even sarcastically commented that if publicity is the only goal, walking naked on the streets would attract even more attention. Chasing likes and shares at the cost of values sends a dangerous message to society. Media platforms should also stop giving importance to people who deliberately seek attention through such unhealthy trends. If society does not strongly reject this culture, it could lead to even more harmful consequences in the future.
