SS Rajamouli’s RRR made it to Oscar Shortlist in a Category. The famous Naatu Naatu song composed by MM Keeravani is shortlisted in the ‘Best Song’ Category.
Eighty one songs were eligible for this category and out of which, fifteen were selected for the shortlists. Members of the Music Branch will vote to determine the nominees.
The final winner will be determined from the nominees on the night of Oscar awards. Nominations in all 23 competitive categories will be announced on Tuesday, Jan 24, 2023. The final event of 95th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
The Academy has announced shortlists for ten out of the 23 categories. RRR got one via Shortlist. RRR will stand a chance in the remaining categories at a later stage.
Meanwhile, India’s Official entry to the Oscars, Chhello Show (The Last Film Show) in the International Feature Films Category is also Shortlisted.
