More than the combination of Superstar Rajinikanth with an upcoming director like Pa. Ranjith, it was the title of the film Kabali that attracted everyone’s interest towards it initially. What followed then in terms of imagery just increased the hype further.

Looks like a similar impact through title might be missing in Telugu as sources say the film is being named Mahadev. Its fine but sounds like a regular commercial fare and doesn’t have the same ‘different yet powerful’ connotation as Kabali.
Mahadev will have simultaneous release along with Kabali in May 2016, according to the buzz in the industry. Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen playing an aged gangster in the film. There is tremendous excitement on the film courtesy the new get up that Rajini is being shown in. We have to see if Mahadev too generates the same buzz as its Tamil counterpart given its cast and crew and now the director.
