Sankranti 2026 lines up several notable Telugu films, and on paper, the season looks busy. You see big names and festive release dates coming together. Yet something important feels absent when you look closer.
The missing piece is music. Historically, Sankranti films from Telugu cinema delivered albums that stayed with you. Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Waltair Veerayya, and Sankranthiki Vastunnam proved how strong songs directly pushed footfalls and revenue.
This time, that musical pull is weak. Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi’s film released couple of songs, but none truly caught on. Meesala Pilla works to an extent, yet it stops short of becoming a season-defining hit.
Raja Saab also lacks that musical spark. Thaman has not delivered a lasting blockbuster album in a while, apart from songs that arrive with hype and fade just as fast. You do not see long-term recall building here.
Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju faces a similar issue. The album has not connected beyond a point. You miss a clear winner like Godari Gattu Meeda, Butta Bomma, Samajavaragamana, or Boss Party.
There is still some time left for more songs and promotional releases. You now wait to see if any Sankranti 2026 film can fill this musical void and bring back the festive rhythm audiences expect.
